6 ways to a better senior portrait

Hire a professional who's work you love. Do NOT try to do this at home with your camera. I may own a saw, but I'm certainly no woodworker.

1. Tell your photographer what you like in a portrait, and don't like.
2. Girls must apply make-up to smooth skin and enhance the eyes. And you must like your hair style. If you don't like your hair, you won't like your portraits.
3. Boys must apply a skin make-up if blemishes are a problem. I can take out a few, but more than that becomes an issue.
4. Select your clothing with care. Darks for traditional studio head and shoulders studies, color for contemporary studio and outdoors.
5. Get a good night's sleep. Tired eyes are not very flattering.

Studio Professional Session and Portraits-- You will be photographed inside our studio in downtown Middleton using professional style lighting, posing and backgrounds. Two outfits with a variety of expressions from which to choose. Also includes a portrait package of 10 prints (2-5x7 and 8 wallets from one expression, additional expressions and prints extra*), internet viewing and ordering, and basic retouching**.

Outdoors, Studio, and Portraits-- You can bring up to four outfits, using four different backgrounds or settings, your own props, pet, and more. All of the above session plus outdoor photography around our historic building and downtown Middleton.

On-Location Model Shoot-- This session takes the senior portrait to a whole new level. Half day photography time and talent at locations of your choosing. May include your home, park, downtown, the lake, etc. As many outfits as you wish. Includes all of the above plus a printed proof portfolio and optional viewing and ordering consultation with Mr. Forrestal, your photographer.
